IISc Innovation Council (IIC) is setup along the lines of Institution’s Innovation Council, which is an initiative of Ministry of Education (MoE) in collaboration with AICTE​ for implementation of National Innovation & Startup Policy (NISP)​ via a Digital platform. It is formed with an aim to foster Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E)​ while establishing and stabilizing an innovative ecosystem​ in the institute for addressing challenges to build & sustain a thriving I&E ecosystem. It is to be done by involving institute leadership to formulate and implement I&E policy​. Also to engage faculty, students, and staff in I&E activities​ by organizing relevant and useful activities and initiatives​.
